About Your Instructor

Your instructor is Dominic Binkert, a full-time knifemaker since 2014, with thousands of knives produced. You’ll be learning directly from someone who lives and breathes this craft.

Course Overview

This is a two-day, hands-on course where you will design and build your own custom knife from start to finish.

• Up to 300mm overall length
• Full tang construction
• Carbon steel blade

This is a small-group public class, meaning you may be joined by up to two other participants.

Handle materials, pin stock, blade finishes, and other details are all customizable on the day, allowing you to create something truly your own.

• Disc grinding
• Heat treating
• Handle construction & glue-up
• Handle shaping
• Finishing & engraving

What You’ll Take Home

You’ll leave with a fully finished knife, engraved with your name. A piece you built with your own hands.
