This one started at the Perth Knife Show. We picked up a billet of hand-forged san mai from Christoph Feichtel of Kalderum Blades. A Vanadis 4 extra core wrapped in Damascus, made by one of Europe's most respected bladesmiths. San mai at this level is genuinely rare. The combination of a modern super-steel core forged into Damascus cladding isn't something many makers attempt, and fewer pull off.
